What is power yoga?

Yoga means union. The word "yoga" is a Sanskrit term derived from the root "Yuj", which means to yoke, join or unite. In hatha yoga (all physical forms of yoga come from hatha yoga) one practices postures (asanas) and pranayama one practices different kinds of breathing methods (breath control) and together one will find the union of body, mind and breath. The body and mind are strengthened and prepared for meditation.

Power yoga is a dynamic flowing practice. The breath is the link between the body and the mind. With developing a long deep and even breath, the mind becomes calm and focused, thoughts pass away and each movement flows gently and precisely from posture to posture.
Power yoga is for all ages and sizes.
